Denise Chávez reading for Hispanic Heritage Month In-Person

Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with author Denise Chávez as she reads from her memoir A Taco Testimony: Meditations on Food, Family and Culture. According to Ms. Chávez's biography she is a Fronteriza writer, bookseller, and activist for sentient life. Along with her husband, French/Ukrainian/American photographer, Daniel Zolinsky, own Casa Camino Real Bookstore in Las Cruces, NM. Chávez most recent novel is Street of Too Many Stories published by Conocimientos Press. Other works include The King and Queen of Comezón, Loving Pedro Infante, and Face of an Angel among other works. Dr. Amanda Cuellar Assistant Professor of English will introduce Ms.Chávez.
